I just love how it all begins to make more and more sense. On a related note (and yeah, spoilers of course): We keep getting more and more hell allusions during Wano. The captains and Zoro "going through hell" on the rooftop, Sanji's "hell memories" and "Ifrit jambe", Robin embracing her "devil child" nickname, "hell blade" Enma and so on. And then we have the Will of D. as the "natural enemy of God". Which made me think: There's this sense - I believe it was in Buddhism - of overcoming your own demons by embracing them and, through that, reaching spiritual awakening. So not only could it be that controlling the spirits of swords and devil fruits leads to some sort of awakening, but maybe the Will of D. means just that: reaching freedom through awakening instead of living under shackles of so-called "pure" descendants of gods. I mean, yes, it's a bit of a reach, but there are wilder theories out there... :D

As part of that spanish audience, Mihawk has always looked like more of a pirate version of "El Zorro" which to be short is a quite a popular fictional character (At least in my tiny spanish village everybody knows it) I think the original story is not even spanish but is kind of the embodyment of that spanish character (Regarding heroes ofc). The beard, the sword and that Spanish style hat have just akways looked too similar for me...

Oda clearly had this "power up" planned early on since he drew the anthropomorphic spirits of Zoro’s blades in an early SBS — which IMO always felt more like foreshadowing than a joke on Bleach

Mihawak definitely has Advanced Conquerors Haki. And I am sure he is Yonko/Admiral Level.
I think since Shanks Lost his arm. Mihawak didn't find anyone challenging in the whole wide world. That says something about Mihawak. According to Grap Shanks became Yonko after losing his arm and returning to Grand Line.
Imagine only Shanks with two hands is challenging to Mihawk.
He never used his true power since then. But he has been training Zoro to ensure he becomes the New Shanks for him.
The new Equal for him.
That Guy is a legend.

Swords having their own will makes a lot of sense, it explains how Funkfried had sentience and maybe some insight into how weapons could eat devil fruits to begin with. Thinking back on it the recent "reveal" shouldn't have come as a surprise to any of us.
My question is; Could Funkfreed become a black blade even as an elephant?

I think that the point of introducing kosoburo's purpose for swords intentionally contradicts the breath of all things. It could show a difference in sword ideologies which is realistic. Different schools of thought that sword masters pass on

Zoro's power is demonic he probably will become the next Dark King . Enma is king of the underworld.

I think to make it a black blade, you have to "forge" with haki in many battles and use that "pressure" to create it

The way I see Emma is like a traded Pokemon and you don't have enough badges, the previous trainer was Oden so it still has his "personality". The badges are the amount of Haki it receives so instead of denying it Haki, FEED it more and more Haki.

Oda in an interview said "If Zoro ever ate a devil fruit I would prefer if his sword ate it". Throughout the entire series Zoro has shown various different types of attacks such as dragon twister with the word "dragon" in the attack. It is quite possible and probable if and it probably is a living entity in terms of having will that enma will acknowledge Zoro and so will be wielded by Zoro but the interesting part is just like big mom's sword that has it's own spirit/life being able to talk its entirely possible that enma can also talk and is living. I believe that enma will eat kaido's dragon fruit after it dies and Zoro will inherit not only Enma at fullpower passed on by Oden but also Enma that has eaten Kaidos dragon fruit giving Zoro a crazy powerup being able to literally perform real dragon attacks.

In regards to swords and Conqueror's Haki, I would like to propose my theory that cursed swords are specifically related to Conqueror's Haki and you need specifically Conqueror's to bend them to their will. The main ideas is that you need to be strong enough and commanding enough to tame them and make them obey you, which does sound a lot like Conqueror's Haki. It would also make sense why so many people weren't able to wield Enma or Sandai Kitetsu, as Conqueror's Haki is very rare. Speaking of which, the only people who are known to use cursed swords, i.e. Zoro, Oden and Luffy to some extent (even though he didn't fight with it he didn't get hurt with it either) are all Conqueror's Haki users.
