My 2019 1.4 Cruze has 220, 000 miles and still pushing 💪

Hey got a 2018 cruze 1.4 auto. I was not driving the car for like a month, it was at a body shop. I got the car back and it started misfiring, i took the plugs out, coils, and the whole fuel rail out. changed the plugs and coil packs, i noticed that the hole for the injectors had a bunch of debriee and oil in them. i cleaned the injectors just with some carb cleaner but only from the outside i didn't have an injector tester to clean the inside of them. and its still misfiring. btw the plugs were dry no oil on them. If you could get back to me that would be awesome because so far i have the last option left and its injector replacement but 500$ is kind off tight for me right now. Thank you! Love your content hi from Canada.

Awesome channel you turned me onto cleaning the throttle plate which fixed my daughters car. She had been driving it in the automatic six speed mode because of the stumbling on restart now that we fixed it the car shuts off at a stoplight but you have to manually put it in park and restart it with the key. What has caused this if you have time thank you.

My wife’s 2019 Cruze is getting oil in the throttle body. It’s got new maf sensor new air filter and throttle body. Fixed the rough running for 4 months and now noticed oil in throttle body

Could you please list all of the problems that you know of that would cause a 2013 Cruze LT turbo I4 to overheat. I have changed the water valve, water pump, thermostat, temperature sensor at radiator and recovery tank. I’m trying to fix the car myself. It has around 98, 000 miles on it. Thanks

Wished I would've seen this video like a month ago. I was having low boost code and started to chase the problem. 2017 LT auto, installed the chevy cold air but no tune yet, before the code. Replaced inlet outlet tubes of the intercooler, and replaced the turbocharger with stock one. My cruze has 110k+ as I commute a total of 120 miles every work day. Thanks Dave for your knowledge of the common problems again I became aware of these issues on my own and with research.

And with a p1101 definitely look at throttle body and make sure it is clean. I have seen a bunch of 1.5 vehicles with that code set for throttle body air flow compensation

Nice video sir, packed with some really good information. Well you opened up a few options for me as a gen 1 owner just by talking about the charge pipe from intercooler to throttle body. By saying it can make a cooler charge temp. At boost & less restrictions. I have been waiting for a forge Reciulation valve from BNR before I move farther on with more parts. Also I got a belly pan for the car to see if that helps with mpgs. as well as my 12 never had one but 35.6 pre Gallon isn't bad.
Also with direct injection unfortunately you carbon build up on valves and intake runners due the no fuel dilution before the valves. I imagine a good oil can help with keeping this down but if it gets carried away periodically these areas have to be cleaned as I have seen in other channels on the tube.
Have safe day with the family.

I have a gen 1, and already checked for air leaks, exhaust, etc, and I have non, was thinking it can be my wastegate that is worn out, everytime I accelerate I have so much lag or if I’m cruising around 45mph or so and I let go of the gas, I lose power and have to floor it just to upshift and get me power to accelerate, as well as going uphill, what do you think it can be? Don’t have a check engine on btw, Thanks.

I have a 2017 chevy cruze LS, about a month ago it had a service stabilitrack, and a cylinder 1 misfire code, black smoke was coming out the exhaust, shaking real bad, and losing power, got it home and parked it. A few hours later when i went out to start it, a crank over the key and it sounds like its trying to start but the engine doesnt crank over and run, it just tries and tries, but nothing happens, just replaced all spark plugs, the car is stock, always kept up with maintenance, please help

I'm looking at a 2017 Cruze with 75, 000 km on it and it's a manual. I have all the carfax history on it. No major repairs just regular maintenance stuff.

Do you think that's a good purchase? I heard that manual is more reliable when it comes to avoiding transmission issues.

I feel like i need all these upgrades. I just bought a used 2014 cruze LT 1.4 and unfortunately i noticed after buying that it pulls or bumps on acceleration around 40kmph and sometimes 60kms but runs smooth after that. Im also not comfortable with sll the plastic i hear deteriorates because it runs hot snd would change to aluminum or metal after market replacements

Would you say that 2018 is the most reliable year for Cruze? I've been researching this extensively it it says everywhere that the 2018 year model was above average reliability, and actually competed with other compact cars fairly well. 2017 seems to be pretty decent too. 2016 has a bad rating.
I'm looking to purchase a Cruze in the 60k to 70k mile range
