The Man Who Invented Zero

It's taken thousands of years for humans to decide what zero is, and also what zero isn't. It's a strange concept to think about what nothing really means in relation to other numbers, but giving zero meaning beyond a simple placeholder was one of the most important advances in mathematics. Indian mathematician and astronomer Brahmagupta was likely the first to codify the rules involving computation with zero -- and in his master work Brāhmasphuṭasiddhānta, he delved into quadratic equations, calculating square roots, and rules for positive and negative numbers.

The remarkable thing is that the Brāhmasphuṭasiddhānta contained no mathematical notation. It was only prose, and Brahmagupta still managed to be the first to describe the solution to quadratic equations. But what about dividing 0 by 0?!

Aryabhatt invented zero and brahmgupta later developed it
Also you could have mentioned india instead of Rajasthan which is a state of India !! (One reason is that it is factually debatable )
And like you mentioned Egyptian and Mayans civilization, this was hindu civilization

I hurt myself pondering about that 0/0 question, but I'm fine now after going to the l'hospital

I'm not sure it's accurate to say that Egyptians had a number zero, at least not like the Maya did. The Maya used zero as both a quantity and a placeholder digit exactly like we do today, but the Egyptians did not. nfr was used to mean "ground level, " and it was used to indicate no remainder in some texts, but it was not used as a quantity in its own right in arithmetic, and the Egyptians did not use positional notation.

Brahmagupta seems to be the first person to write descriptions of how to perform arithmetic with zero and negative numbers in a form that still survives. He said that a number divided by zero equaled a fraction with zero as the denominator, and that 0/0 = 0. He was wrong about that, but I guess we can forgive him some mistakes, since using zero in that way was apparently unheard of in his time and place.

I am now convinced that Kevin is trying to tell us something with his different clothes on, perhaps we need to take the first letter in each of the clothes names and it will spell out something. Im too lazy to do that

That's the reason why Indians are good in maths
Did India invented any thing which is not related to maths?
I don't anything
Everything I heard which is invented by India is somehow related to maths or medical

In our veda 0 i was already mentioned bramha gupta just figured it out

Concept of zero as well as infinity was provided in vedas, ancient holy text of Hinduism (Bharat/India) around 5000 years ago. Aryabhat and Bhrahmgupta only interpreted vedas and codified it in their work.

More than 10, 000 years (actually difficult to date back) of using zero or sunya in Panchangams, saying"Are we a joke to you?" 😂
