The set is absolutely incredible but the sealed product is so expensive it’s ridiculous

The problem is the set is priced so high that I could just buy the few reprints I need and call it a day for half the price of one box.

You spend close to 400 dollars for a box that has 24 booster in it. That 17 dollars p we r booster pack. The most of the pack barely make you 20 dollars or you loss 10 dollars. The problem is that so little chase cards and the initial price is so high its to Hard to feel good about buying any of it. 😢

My lgs has collwctor booster box at 199. That is a steal.

The best pulls i got where boxes that came from over seas, from Denmark & Japan. When Ikoria came out i got 2 booster boxes & pulled 22 Triomes, 3 foil full art, 5 full art, the rest normal with getting a few duplicates but they were either full art or foil full art versions. A year later got 1 more, 1 from America, home country. 3 Triomes in the whole box...1 full art, 2 normal. Sadness.

Doubling season is $49 listed median on tcg

At this rate in two years Doubling Season will be downshifted to common so it can be in Pauper and Evolving Wilds will come as doubly ply on a cardboard roll.

As someone who loves borderless cards and commander, Im mildly annoyed I cant participate in opening the perfect sealed product for me. Fantastic set though and Im looking forward to buying the singles.

I get it, summer is the best time to push product in general since most people will have the available time and finances to Purchase things, regardless of price.

But commander masters really opened my eyes to the fact that this is going to continue, every card that lacks a reprint or has the potential to extend the longevity of a meta will be shoved into a set and marked up, cards that could have been spread to even out things, such a waste

Steelshapers gift got upshifted. It was a uncommon

there are so many downshifts because this is a draft set and for it to work well with all reprints they had to downshift a ton of stuff so they would appear more commonly, mainly legendary creatures to increase the potential commander pool

I love opening packs but I think I'll be just buying singles for this set so I'm totally okay with some of these price drops and down shifts (some not all)
