As a non-english speaker i really appreciate your clear narration. No mumbling and easy to understand. For me, it’s what sets you apart from other creepy pasta channels. Keep it up!

The cycle was complete, a life lost for a life saved. The horses gave back the life that was lost for them. The feeling of hope and hopelessness from this story is profound. Some sort of underlying dread throughout the story, the dread of feeling so Real. I could feel the pain. Thats the word i would use to describe this story. Simply raw emotion, simply Real

“I’m not hungry anymore”
“I know..” that is one of the most natural lines I’ve ever heard, very well written and well narrated, definitely one of the best in my books.

Phenomenal story. The description of her father's progression through the treatment was from a place of experience. It changes behavior and whittles them down so far that you wonder what would be left even if they do recover. I was a child when my mom had to see her mom go through it. I have to say I got chills when the horses appeared. I feel like they could be an alternative version of the Kelpie. There's a place in Palo Duro canyon in Texas where hundreds of Comanche horses were slaughtered by the US Army. The screams of the horses are still heard. The noises in the rain, could be both human and animal, the screams of terror sound remarkably similar.

I definitely see what you mean about a certain atmosphere. This story has a similar vibe to the “the thing in the garden has been telling me the most awful things” or whatever it was called. Like the underlying dread being woven throughout but never quite be scary. Also the ambiguity of the danger too—never quite knowing what the threat is and never really being given an explanation. Anyway this was a great narration sorry for the long comment 😭

You have such a unique way of storytelling that sets you apart from other CreepyPasta Narrators. Your inclusion of fitting sound effects and excellent music (Which I believe you create yourself if I remember right?) You quickly became my go to for my daily dose of internet horror! Thank you Dark!

So atmospheric! As I started listening to the story, rain began to ping against my stove exhaust fan. It's become quite a downpour. That's that Dark Somnium magick at work. Thank you and all your guests narrators for a wonderfully melancholy tale 🌧💙🌧

I own horses myself. And all I want to say is…the connection between human and horse can be pure bliss. If you have a bond with your horse, it’s basically like owning a big dog. With hooves. I teared up at the fact of the horses saving the narrators life. I’m glad this story portrayed light on how great animals horses are.

My closing shift just got much better. You're a gift and appreciated Mr. Somnium

loved this story!! the character’s fear for her dad felt like such a fitting connection to the feeling of drowning. i think that the fear the aunt looked at the mc with before she got taken under wasn’t for herself—it was because she realized someone was following her. before that moment, she had just been casually walking INTO the floodwater, seemingly without worry. lowkey, imagining she’s a spirit followed by undead horses, all working together to protect as many people as they can from drowning, is metal as fuck 🤘

this story really hit hard, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer just this year and she's just about to start chemo this month. the part of the story where the main character was looking at his dad when they're putting the iv was especially sad.

My dad died from leukaemia little over a year ago.
The physical description of the father, his behaviour and what he was going through in this story sounded very similar to him, reminded me of him.(not looking for any sympathy, just had to write/type this somewhere.)
I'm glad the father character in the story survived, even though this is just a story, and it's fictional.

As for the story itself, it was a good listen as always and as it was expected.

So different. All of the characters living their own unique hell on earth, yet all woven together. It was nice hearing you all together in one story. One family narrating a story about one family. Very nicely done to all of you. Thank you. I was so excited to see a longer type story, but it only felt like 15 minutes...lol.
Your little insomniac!

Slower pace to this one but touching. My dad passed from cancer a few months ago and there is a truth in the telling of this tale that makes me sad. But there is healing in hearing your own grief echoed in art. Thanks for the story.

Never thought I would actually be spooked by a story about kelpies, but here we are. Cool to see them done in a modern story like this

Love Romnex and her way to shift her voice. Glad she is a key part of this channel. Love your music. Love you supporting smaller narrators

This is why you are my favorite narrator despite having listened to others for many years more!

It's got that same "awareness of the smallness of being a human"/a sense of unknown loss that Lost City had. Really lovely!

I’m always happy listening to you, you have such a high production with your videos and when I’m at work, you make the shifts go by faster. Like the intensity makes hrs feel like a min, but thank you and I wish you understood how much you’ve helped me with your readings. (P.S I always appreciate the yt lives when I don’t have time to search for long videos lmao)

At first, I was sure that there were creatures that came with the flood, taking people. The final scene took me off guard. Maybe the wet hay she smelled was his grandaunt, watching, making sure she is safe.
