I am a Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the one hundred and twenty seventh day of the war.
Day 127: June 30
In the east, active action took place in 2 out of 4 main directions.
In the Sloviansk direction, after countless attempts to take Mazanivka and Krasnopillia, the Russians withdrew their forces for regrouping. As you remember, the Russians have been storming these villages non-stop for around a week, and as I told you previously, the Ukrainians are trying to hold this position at all costs, in order to prevent the front line collapsing on Sloviansk before the situation in Lysychansk is fully resolved. That is why the Ukrainians in Mazanivka and Krasnopillia have been receiving huge reinforcements, and judging by the action of the Russians, they had enough to defend this region. The same concerns the village of Bohorodychne. The fights here have been taking place for almost 2 months and continue to take place, even though the Russians managed to take at least half of the village under their control. Overall, the Ukrainians manage to keep this front line stable.
In the Kramatorsk direction, there was no active action. The reason for the lack of hostilities in this region lies in the fact that it is not efficient for the Russians to advance here, while they do not control Krasnopillia and Bohorodychne. The Russians here are just shelling the nearby villages and waiting for the front line to move, in order to start synergistically storming Sloviansk from several sides at once.
In the Lysyschansk direction, the heaviest fights are taking place in the Lysychansk Oil Refinery Plant. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russians have some success and are gradually advancing. As of now the Russians are reportedly controlling the north-western and south-eastern parts of the plant. Today the Russians also made another assault on Verkhnokamianka. The fights here are still taking place. The Russians also made a series of attacks in the direction if the town of Lysychansk itself: the clashes were reported in the northern part of Vovchoyarivka and Maloryazantseve, and also to the south of Lysyschansk from the village of Loskutivka. These assaults have reportedly been repelled. According to the Russian sources, the Russian troops continue to expand the area under their control to the north of Lysychansk. Some sources suggest that they already managed to assault Lysyschanks but this information is not widely confirmed. Simultaneously, the process of withdrawal from Lysychansk continues, even though it becomes very hard to do that as the Russians have significant fire control over the roads, the Ukrainians are using small mobile groups that are sent to Siversk. Overall, the battles for Lysychask are almost finished, some sources provided estimates of the troops that are expected to be captured and time for the cauldron to be fully formed. The average expectations are around 2 to 4 thousand soldiers and 1 week.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Russians conducted a series of assaults as well. The Russians have tried to take control over the section of the highway Lysychansk – Bakhmut between Berestove and Verhknokamianka. The Russians also shelled heavily Berestove, Porkovsk and Klynove and conducted an attack on Klynove, which reportedly was not successful. As far as I understand they did not manage to gain more ground, but it seems like they managed to retain the northern part of Klynove that they took under their control previously. The last major assault was conducted on Vuhlehirska Thermal Power Plant, where the Ukrainians once again managed to repel the Russian attack.
In the south, a huge battle for the Snake Island once again took place. After an unsuccessful attempt to push the Russians from this island sever weeks ago, the Ukrainians had been preparing for another assault. The attack was conducted with artillery, rockets and aviation. The Ukrainians have managed to suppress the Russian air defense and inflict severe damage to the Russian troops and infrastructure. The Ukrainians spotted 3 Raptor ships leaving the Island at night, and in the morning the official Russian sources confirmed withdrawal of the Russian forces from the island. Before they swiftly left, the Russian were forces to destroy some of their machinery that could not be evacuated from the region. The Ukrainian forces report that the newly arrived weapons from the west helped a lot on this mission.
