Should You Get The '14 Day Filmmaker' Course?

If you’ve considered content creation, you might have seen ads for this online course called 14 day filmmaker. I know when I was starting my video production agency a year ago, I was suddenly getting served these ads all the time. Whether it was a banner ad, instagram ad, or facebook ad. And honestly, with the price tag of only $48 at the time, I figured it was worth the investment in my business to improve my video production skills.

So did the course live up to the price tag? Absolutely not, it EXCEEDED expectations. Honestly, when you price something so cheap, you expect a cheap product. But this course does the exact opposite. The price tag is affordable, but it provides a ton of valuable content. It covers everything from gear required, lighting, editing, motion graphics, color correction, and even some tips on getting business! The best part is they are always adding bonus content so you continue to get value from your $48 investment.

The course is structured in a logical fashion. It starts with what to look for in equipment, how to use that equipment, basic composition and camera moves, and then we get into editing, sound design, color correction, and finally how to land clients through social media marketing. So this is absolutely great for beginners, and can be a useful refresher for experienced content creators.

I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is serious about video production, whether it be for your own social media or if you want to start a business making videos.

My favorite part is that it gets you started. If you know nothing this will cover all the fundamentals you need. And then through practice you will master and internalize all these skills which is great.

There is no excuse, if you got $48 then you're good.

And are we required to complete all the courses to “pass” eg can we choose one editing software over the other? And 3. Did you have to buy expensive gear (curious to hear how much this cost)!

Thanks for the recommendation. Their course does look good for the price. One thing I'm looking for is FEEDBACK as I'm learning. In an in-person class you would get feedback from the instructor and maybe other students as well. Is that possible with this course? I see they have a weekly live Q&A calls. I thought I also saw reference to a private Facebook group but I'm not finding it now. Is it possible to get useful feedback that way? Thanks!
