Don't be too pressured for babies number 2 Jess. People are just curious and rude, they'll never stop asking for the next baby as if it's their life. You can prepare for it whenever you're fully ready mentally and physically. I had my second (baby boy) back in March and my daughter turned 3 in June and I have absolutely loved the age gap! She has been so sweet towards him and so helpful, we haven’t dealt with any jealousy, she just loves on him, sometimes too aggressively 😂 She’s potty trained and pretty independent so I feel like that has made bringing home a new baby so much easier, the transition from 1-2 kids for us just felt so much easier than 0-1!

When it comes to an age gap with kids, people will usually advise you on what they think is best for the kids, but honestly I think you should do what’s best for you guys as parents.

You don’t need to wait longer than you want to because you feel like there should be a gap or rush before you’re ready because you feel like they won’t be close enough in age. Most of my friends who had kids close in age said it was BRUTAL in the early years and said they wouldn’t recommend it. My first child was not easy to raise, so I took my sweet time despite the pressure from other people to get pregnant. I’m so glad I waited. My two kids are 6 years apart and I regret nothing. Do what’s best for you guys. ❤

Not as a parent but as a medical student when we were taught about family plannings our professors had told us that 3 years is the perfect gap between siblings because you can focus on the initial growth of your first baby before shifting your focus on the 2nd one more. 😊

My 2 girls are 3 years and 2 months apart EXACTLY! And we absolutely love it! My nephews are 2 years and 1 ish months apart and my sister and brother in law said they would not do the 2 year age gap again. IMO, 3 years is perfect and they are so so sweet together and love each other so much ❤️

I stopped after one child. I knew mentally I would be a better mom to just one. My son is almost a teenager now and his father is expecting a little one with his new partner and my son is over the moon to have a sibling. I don’t think the gap really matters. ❤

My three boys are 2 years apart. It was tough in the beginning when they were little but it went by so quickly. They are best friends and do everything together. They even have the same friends. My husband and his brother were five years apart and he said that they didn't have a relationship when growing up. He was going into high school when my husband was entering middle school, and he graduated HS when my husband entered HS. They have a good relationship now as adults but I think they missed out on a lot as kids. We love seeing how close our boys are. The only thing I regret is not having a 4th so they could have equal teams 2 vs 2 😁
