Everyone is terrible at this game, especially at the start, here are some tips:
1. Fighting head-on is rarely a good idea, especially at the start of the game
2. You do have a melee weapon, which can be useful when kiting enemies through doors, or if your ranged weapon is bad, and you can also pick up and keep weapons from defeated enemies and turrets, all weapons have a load of stats which you can see on the left panel. Especially important for guns is their ammo per clip and clip count (you had a gun with one ammo per clip, so you needed to reload once after each shot)
3. You should definitely buy a profession with a chip, each profession comes with some perks and abilities you can equip and use automatically, at no additional cost. The perks and abilities are wild, with certain loadouts, you may not even need to leave the spawn zone to complete missions. You can buy up to three perk slots, and once you have a slot, changing the perk in it is free, and perks are always active. You also can select three abilities, which cost EGO to use during the mission, EGO refills automatically at the start of a mission, but can also refill via one of the objects that spawns on the mission. (unfortunately your current shell only gives you one ego, so if you want to use abilities, maybe buy a better shell from the shop)
4. Don't spend money trying to buy off your debt. It isn't going to happen. You can spend it to buy better gear, such as a new chassis, or to upgrade your current gear.
5. Hacking needs data, you get data by discovering new hackable objects in the level. It costs data for the initial hack on a new object, and to perform most commands. Once you have hacked an object once, it costs no data to hop into it again. If you spike an object, you get permanent vision to it, and can hop into it even if you leave line of site later. Spiking costs nothing, so it can be a good idea to spike everything that you hack. Snapping can also help you to spot more hackables, either to hack them or to get data. Finally, everything has different hacking options, some of which are worth looking into, such as the 'befriend' option to turn enemies into allies.
6. Those enemies that shot the gold beams are hackers, you can break the hack by leaving direct line of sight, but if the gold ball reaches you they take you over, so you lose.
7. Enemy weapons and shells are randomly generated, and will change on restarting a mission. Enemy positions will be the same for a given mission each restart.
8. You can slow time with the F key, doing so burns your "slug", which recharges at the start of a mission or when you find a slug chamber.
9. There is at least one ammo station on each map which you can use to refill your ammo.

I'd love a series on this game, the mechanics blend together so well. Also, I think if you play multiple times you can spec out into different builds each time which is pretty cool.

I think I'll buy this game. Looks like a lot of fun. Something you missed in the tutorial is that you can slow down time, which would have helped a couple times.

Also I think you're starting stats and weapons are completely random, so if you were to start a new game you could get very different tutorial gear.
