I paid a lot of money for a statics class when its free and much more concise on youtube.... Professor Hanson is the GOAT. Hopefully other statics students will come across this gem of a channel.

after the entire class bombing last week's quiz, including myself, I feel confident for this week. Thanks to your videos. You're a life saver!

5:03 you should first find the centriod of the rectangle then we add the horizontal distance from the origin right?

Jeff, for what it's worth to you.... I'm an adult learner who has just went to uni to study mechanical engineering bachelors level. I struggle to keep up with the lecturer on this topic, it is very fast paced, and taught at a kinda high level. I'm so happy to have found you, your teaching style has worked wonders for me. You make sense of all of it, and actually make it quite simple. You answer all the questions I need answered. I really enjoy your videos, and your 'dad jokes'. NEVER change!

Professor Hanson thank you for another classic lecture and master selection on the Centroid of a Volume using The Table method. In order to fully understand this concepts, I have done many Centroid problems in Statics.

I recommend you ask ppl to leave a like at the end. It will probably get you a lot more likes and more views by extension.

To find the volume of part 3, why 8×3×8=192 instead of 8×3×(8+3)=264 ... since on part 2 we added +3

At 7:54, would it not had to be added the 8 inches with the 3 inches to have the full base of the second rectangular prism?

please, I guess there is a mistake in the second rectangle you didn't add 3 with 8

Is this centroid outside the shape? If so, is that ok? Why?

why is it 1.5 and not 1 at 6:30 for x bar of shape 4?

Wait so the centroid is not on the object?

why say x is 10 for object 1? l mean you add 3, 6, 3= 12 from the origin...but nice video
