I legitimately hated what the people of Springfield did to Bart. Many consider this episode to be way too dark for a comedy series like The Simpsons and though I do agree to an extent but I can also see something as cruel as this actually happening in the world of sports.
Bart may have done some bad stuff before and os for sure a delinquent troublemaking, fairly selfish kid but even he doesn't deserve to be labelled a pariah and despised by everyone in town just for a stupid baseball game, and what's even more sad is that this was just a Junior Pewee Baseball game and hardly worth these people's time and yet they drove this poor kid to want to kill himself, like WTF is wrong with these people. I especially hated Chief Wiggum in this episode from encouraging Bart to kill himself and forcibly getting the town to throw their food at him... Bro he's 10 years old, what is wrong with you!!!🤬

I know this just a comedy series and shouldn't be taken too seriously of course but as someone who's suffered those same thoughts of ending my own life and had to persevere to keep on going, just seeing how deplorable these people can be to harrass a child for something as small as baseball to drive him to attempt to kill himself is so f***ed up that it makes you wonder miserable the people of Springfield have to be to do something so cruel.
