Thank you very much for the video! I could always regurgitate the 'model' paragraph that I would need to write down to score marks in the exam with questions about earthing and fusing - but I never knew what it meant. The diagram helps so much. Furthermore it's make so much sense why the electricity wouldn't go through the person because the earth wire is there and provides an 'easier' route, a path with less resistance because it's a conductor. And electricity travels along the path the least resistance so that's why it goes to the Earth wire.

This explanation is not entirely true. In reality very little fault current flows to earth, certainly not enough to blow a fuse. Consider a TT earthing system. The actual path for the large fault current which results in a TNCS earth system is in fact through the neutral conductor back to the star point on the supply transformer.
