I was told by fieldpiece that in such a small area the deviations are going to be great between pump n probe compared to when u do a whole system because less air movement in the space

As soon as I saw the announcement about the new Testo micron gauge I knew I would want one .

Just ordered on of the 552i from Valuetesters for just a little over $161. coming in via fedex. That will be fun to play with for sure when dealing with the small compressor units. Now just have to get one of the Navac units. Already have the smart probes and a 557 manifold, not the 557s. Got the smart probes setup for charging systems with just the one hose.

Thanks for the Video. It would be great if it shared the other Testo App. If positive pressure is introduced to it does it ruin the Gauge?

Seems like a pretty good tool ... Good demo Super Dave ... We love the Lurkers ... Lol ...

Nice. I was worried about the 2cfm but with the right hoses you can pull down quick.

I like the vacuum gauge, but think I like the probes rather than the new manifolds. Can the vacuum gauge take positive pressure?

Is there an advantage to the new app. If your only using smart probes if you don’t have a vacuum gauge?

That's a cool pump. I've been using the Testo probes and old app for a bit now but I got the short range Set of 2 clamps and 2 pressure probes and they kind of suck they remind me of the long phone cord on the old land line . I can stand next to the condenser and watch pressures but I cant go in the box and see the pressures or adjust superheat didn't know they have a vacuum probe.

Probably a small air pocket when you valve the pump off, with such a small amount of area under a vacuum it is showing a lot more

I'm looking forward to seeing it on a system. I have gone through 2 micron guages in 6 months. One was a testo 552 (not a smart probe) and the other was a fieldpiece svg3. The fieldpiece did one install. When I took it off, it still said 370 microns and as far as I know it still does. Idk what keeps killing them, I keep them clean and never exposed either to more than 5 psi. I really want my next micron guage to last.

How are you liking this micron gauge a few months in?

Great video. Too bad about your bluvac tho. I thought they would help you out with it.

I'm getting down to 9 micron on my jb platinum. But as soon as I valve off the rise is like yours. (just a bit slower) . Where does the testo get it's air temp from?? Built into the 552??

Hi sir!! That microm gage can support some pressure thank you for video 🤟

How long does the battery last on the vacuum pump? And how big of a system can be pulled with it?
