Insert a picture into a comment box in Excel. Cell comments are used to store notes and additional information, but you can also insert pictures into these comment boxes. A great way to save space on your spreadsheet.

If you find that when you click format comment you’re only getting the font tab and not the remaining settings, there needs to be taxed in the cell in order to do this. A blank cell will only allow you to change font you will not be able to insert a graphic

This still works in newer Office 365 versions. However, Microsoft renamed the old Comments to *Notes* for some reason... just to make it confusing.
The *key* to making this work is to right-click on the *border* of the Note to see the formatting options. If you right-click inside the Note, you'll only see formatting options for the Font.

Hi, thank you for the detailed information. I have a question for you. I inserted an image on excel 'cell comment box', I am able to see it exactly how you showed. I saved the file and shared via email to view it on my phone and now I am unable to see the picture on my cellphone. What I see is a small red triangle mark in that cell, but nothing in it. Does it only work with one pc or is there any other way to see it when the file is shared?
