My Top Gear Picks

In this video I'm riding with Shu from Snowboard Dojo Wiz and we're doing side hit spins. When doing spins off side hits, always look to make sure the landings are clear of other riders. Side hits are a great place to practice your spins and get prepared for the terrain park. Check out the snowboarding trick playlist for more tips! You can also check out Shu at Snowboard Dojo Wiz for more snowboarding trick tutorials. Thanks for watching!

You guys forgot the key factor which is your head. If you're facing one way and your body is trying to go the other way it won't work. Try and work on the basic things so when you'll come against 7's and 9's you won't have trouble with getting the spin around. Remember, mastering the basics will save time in the long run!

Having air helps! I like starting off with back 3's on hips they are fun. kind of scared to do spin off of any larger jump yet, I feel like my takeoff I'm just gonna eat it. I do however wanna try back flips I think they would be easier

Could you do a quick video on tuning the edges on your board? Not sure if you do it yourself but I'd like to know what works best for different types of riding.

Do you plan to do more vlogs. Also a good idea for a video series in my opinion would be to go over terminology. like explain why its called what it is, what makes it different then say on other similar trick, technique, or board term. this most likely won't help intermediate boarders but could help beginners not mix up terms.

Hey Kev! Great video as always! Quick question for you.. are you just using the audio from the GoPro Hero 5 Black that you recently got? Or an external mic?
Cheers!

Good like always! I can't wait though! Going boarding finally the 29th!!
Btw I have one question. During most jumps, do you have an idea on how fast you are actually going? Like how much kph in the air? I have a feeling I need to go way faster always to make more air.

Kevin, regarding the ground spins, it looks like you are just constantly switching from heel to toe and back to facilitate a 360 on the ground, but I'd like to know more, please. I want to learn to do this but I also don't want to eat the ground too many times trying to figure it out. :) Thanks.

I have a question. My board is very soft - 3 (burton blunt) and it has 45 degree edges so when I try to jump from ages for 180 or 360 my board slip under me especially when speed is high so I can't do spins on flat. But I can do 180 and 360 from kickers. So is there any requirements for softerness of board for this spins or is it just me a bad snowboarder? :) Thanks!
