GAMEMASTER: Hot Wire Foam Cutter - Battery Installation

With the release of the GAMEMASTER range from The Army Painter, we've received a lot of questions on how to install the batteries in the Hot Wire Foam Cutter. In this video, Adam shows you just how to do it.

Worked for a couple days but the wore will not heat up any longer. Tested voltage end to end and is getting correct voltage of 3 volts.

I got this one from the Dungeons & Caverns Core set. I installed the batteries, started cutting and it worked fine for about a minute of using it on and off, then it randomly started to cut out. I contacted the store I bought it from and they sent me a new one and I am having the exact same problem. I used it for maybe a minute total and then it stops working. Sometimes, at random it works again for a second, then cuts out. I have the right batteries, I have tried changing them, I see no breaks in the wires. I am stumped at what the problem is and there is no information about this particular problem anywhere.

How hot does the wire actually get? Gonna use my respirator just in case because of the fumes. What's the retail price (€) gonna be just for the cutter? I work in a hardware store so I can get a lifetime supply of foam for only a nominal cost

Would this thing cut polycarbonate/lexan?

The cutter suddenly stops working ... First I thought in was defective or something but is new, batteries also are new and it doesn't seem to be broken. If this happens to you, you have to wriggle at the string and pull fairly hard when you use it, otherwise it stops working. Now working again. Thanks for the one who recommend me to do this... Not sure if the design is the best, do. The rest of the line is perfect.

well crap i accidentally bought 9v batteries and was thinking something was wrong

If there are people too stupid to work out how to change the batteries , they probably shouldn't be using this in the first place !
