Nice review as always.
The 2025 LX and Sport have a different version of the K20 engine than 2022 to 2024 models. Newer engine is rated at better MPG.

2022 to 2024
K20C2 engine
Port injected
Otto Cycle
MPG 30/37/33 (Sport)

2025
K20C9 engine
Direct Injected
Atkinson Cycle
MPG 31/39/34 (Sport)

If you freeze the video at 3:32 you can see it says K20C9 on the window sticker

I bought a 2025 sport touring 2 weeks ago but was extremely lucky to find one. I had to travel 2 states away and there was only one. Lucky me that it's the one I wanted. One sport touring within 300 miles of the Florida Panhandle, in Mississippi!. Several dealerships told me they were sold way before the cars came in and the dealer would put me on a waiting list.

Good job Honda on the new front. It looks great and adding blindspot is a smart move.

It's nice that the 2025 Civic Sport has the blind spot monitoring, rear seat center fold down armrest with cup holders. Also the legal smoke window tint on all the window glass aft of the front doors, like the HR-V Sport and I believe EX-L. The smoke tint reverse light lenses are a nice touch.

And yes, no spare tire in the hybrid models for weight savings and I believe the battery is there.

Downsides include the no engine coolant temperature gauge and wimpy horn in addition to the less than stellar acceleration from stop or low speeds.

The College Hills Honda website has a $40 horn upgrade kit, along with neoprene key fob covers in different colors and inexpensive, you can buy several to replace when it gets worn out.

K Tuner has a flash upgrade package that can bring the power up to at least that if the 1.5L turbo. Of course, it may affect your warranty. There is also the Pedal Commander which is easy to install and remove, plugs into the connector for the gas pedal and has variable settings for improved torque response.

IMHO, the optional black exterior emblems should be standard with the Sport Trim.

Overall still a great car, albeit the acceleration is not great, but the reliability and longevity is always a plus as opposed to the problematic 1.5L turbo engine. Of course, meticulous maintenance, oil change every 5K miles, warning up the engine before and cooling down at idle after hard driving, and not abusing the car will increase engine life, though not as much as the non turbo engine.

Another reason for the slight reduction of horsepower is to get a slightly improved MPG, since the Hybrids have a lot better mileage ratings. Actual MPG subject to condition of car, driving mode and driver.

The safety system camera is now only at the windshield rear view mirror, but I believe the Acuras still have some of the equipment at the grille emblem.

quick question, how would you recommend to get the emblems blacked out?

Can’t wait for you to do the 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring!

This is likely the first time I’m actually liking the pre refresh better than what we are looking at here. The “predator” face is a little strange to me.

Honda seems really slow to get the Civic hybrids out to dealers. They said it went on sale in June but in Columbus Ohio in mid-July there are no dealers with any Civic hybrids in stock.

My 2025 civic sports came without mud flaps. How can I purchase them or should I go back to the dealership???? Please help !

I love it but the dealership in my state are selfish and want more than $8K markup!

In my opinion it’s a good change but from a distance the front corners look like big cracks or bumper damage.

Please realize that Consumer Reports states this car has noisy cabin and is uncomfortable. I have the touring version and the road noise is so bad it kills your ears. Volkswagen, Mazda and Toyota figured it out in the same price category and offer a better commuter experience. This car is "fun" to drive in the 1.5T version yes, perhaps in the hybrid version as well but the trade off is road noise, it is really bad. Test drive this car before buying to see if it bothers you. Also no lumbar support and no passenger seat height adjustment (even in the highest trim). !!!

Honda needs to stop with that ugly ass white strip on the seats it doesn’t look good at all

Coming from a 10th gen sport hatch, this is another downgrade. Now down to 150 horsepower. A base corolla is faster than this…
