There's an interesting choice for people for land use
A) grow plants to feed the animals we eat
Or
B) grow plants to feed aeroplanes

What about algae? Can´t they produce fuel and absorb co2 from the atmosphere?

Before achieving sustainable development we should try to achieve sustainable consumption....consumerism contradicts least we should at our level try to minimise use of resources like using public transport....instead of having multiple cars just for status symbol Mahatma Gandhi said "there is sufficient resources to meet our needs but very minimal resources to meet greed"

The electric plane quote is out of date. There is a fleet of electric passenger planes launching in the US. Given the frequency of short haul flights in the US, the economic argument for electric planes is VERY strong given the savings on fuel.

Too shallow. What are the net carbon emissions of producing and burning biofuels? They say car batteries are too heavy to get off the ground, but show battery planes flying. So what are the options here?
