It turns out that in the first trailer the dog day we see gets possessed by a bunch of tiny smiling critters after they crawled inside of his injured and gone legs

The tiny dogday plush is just one of the toys chasing the player through the playhouse. But i don’t think the Smiling Critters can grow twice their size ether. According to dogday he is the “ last of the smiling critters” they were all probably killed by catnap but that means all the critters had bigger body’s about dogday’s size. Basically the little plushies are not the real smiling critters. (I have no idea how they move and stuff but they are definitely not the real gang according to dogday)
