How to bathe your cat. Does my cat have fleas? As part of our tutorial video for removing fleas, we gave Karl (British Shorthair) a bath and further washed him. This is the full video to show you how to wash a cat in general when a tongue bath just is not enough. Make sure to use a container suitable for your cat and prepare the bath with them present so to not overwhelm them. Try to be soothing with your cat while washing so that they do not try to escape or make a big scene. Make sure to use the right type of soap that is healthy for their skin as well. That cat is pretty darn chill! I would be shredded with either one of mine. Trust me, I've been around cats my whole life and bathing is stressful on both human and the cat!

That cat is precious and so well behaved.. sadly my persian bites and claws me if i try this because I have tried to bathe him before and it was beyond stressful.. How I wish I could handle him better.

I grab my kitty by the back of her neck, that makes her pretty immobile and chill. She has been bathed a lot so it doesn't bother her much. She loves wrapped up and cuddled afterwards.

So Ive found FLEA DIRT (digested blood of my cat pooped out from fleas - also used as food for new born larvaes) on the white blanket where my cat use to sleep. This is what I did next:

1. Vacuumed every room to the detail.
2. Bathed my cat, and found 2 fleas in the water, dried her and put her in the closeable room with cleaned white towel for her to sleep on (btw when I got back to clean the tub, I couldnt believe but that fleas were still alive!). After, I went back to check on her, and found another 10 fleas crawling on her! yes, after bathing! so I killed them all.
3. That evening, I bought Fypryst combo and applied it behind my cat neck (anti flea chemical). The next day I opened the door and found another 3 fleas dead near the towel.
5. The other 5 days I could still find a few dirt on the towel, but couldnt find any fleas on her fur. I was desperate, so Ive decided to bath her for the last time, but this time I filled the tub to the max, so the water was over my cats neck...and then I found the last b***h crawling out.
- So use the white blanket as an indicator if there are any left
- Bath in the full tub, if not, fleas can survive (cat fur is hydrofobic)
- They have strong armour, push them till they make POP sound :) :D
