It depends on your hair before doing the overnight curls
I have low porosity hair so I did leave in conditioner + lightweight oil, wore silk bonnet and my overnight curls were a solid 10/10 whereas when I didn’t didn’t know my porosity and just had my hair with the Olaplex No6 my hair looked similar to what is shown in the video

if the curls aren’t facing the right way for they’re just weird then you can twist them around your finger and usually it will help straighten them out!

The first time u do it it doesn’t work very well I tried but I kept going and now the look so good so keep doing them

TIP:
1. Use hair oil
2. Make sure the curling rod actually works (read reviews)
3. Tie it TIGHT
4. When twisting them over rod make sure to keep the rod CLOSE to your head, NOT away
5. Try the unicorn heartless curls method (look up tutorial)
6. After putting them in, make sure it’s dried FULLY then apply some hair spray (to help keep in place)
7. DONT brush out hair, just fluff it out or even resort to running your fingers through it
8. With the heartless curls, tie the back with hairtie or scrunchie, then put SILK bonnet over
9. Try bathrobe curls! (They always work 😉
10. If your hair doesn’t air dry straight, you may want to blow dry it straight or just use a straightener

That’s all I have! I’ll come back and edit if I find out more tips!

Edit: try different curlers! (Heartless curling rod, rollers, the thing you used on your hair in this video, bathrobe tie, socks, etc.)

its more of what ur scalp went through the night before. in this case, ur scalp is frizzy and has some breakage because u we're too harsh on it while it was still bonding after u washed ur hair or put product on it! just make sure to research ur hair type if the products r helping your specific hair type too. i might need to switch ur whole routine around to see results too:)

So I've been doing it a lot, basically every night, and it works every time. The way i do it is that i take my completely dry hair and i split it into 5 sections. The front layers and bangs in one on top, one on each side of my head and two in the back. I do two because u have lots of layers and i prefer to section it more so they don't fly out. Also the less hair you put on one rod the better it will curl. The last thing I do is that before i roll the hair i put hairspray on the ends while it's already wrapped on the rod. Remember to put the rod UNDER your hair. It basically works like rollers. I sleep with a bonnet so it gets less messy but you can use a shirt as well.
