This is a short avant grade experimental film about unapologetic women of colour and their experiences.

This piece was created during a short-term one-week artist residency at Arts Commons in Calgary. WOC: A Sisterhood is about the complicated relationship between feminine beauty, identity, and race (WOC meaning Women of Colour, and pronounced like WOKE - awareness of issues concerning social justice and racial justice). Artist Iman Bukhari is a Pakistani Canadian immigrant working in the field of digital media and creative writing. Iman's video and photography features nine women of colour. It builds on her passion for social justice and the complex intersections of race. For Iman, this experiment is “about showing women of colour who are un-apologetically themselves… because it takes guts to be yourself.”

Music is titled Gravity Jump from Limbo (by Martin Stig Andersen)
