Titanic: Honor and Glory began remembering Titanic's fateful night in 2013 with a series of posts and images on our Facebook page. Since then, we have hosted podcasts, shared events, live streams, and, most famously, a viral video that now has nearly 90 million views.

Our new Real-Time Sinking animation will go live on April 14th- synced up to the 111th anniversary of the disaster. The Titanic model, iceberg collision, breakup, final moments, and more are all updated.

Please note the animation in the Real-Time sinking does not reflect what may or may not be in the final version of Titanic: Honor and Glory. It is a wonderful project spearheaded by our Media Manager, Jack Gibson, with main historical assistance from THG researchers Robin Beuting and Nicolas Murgia. The footage shown might be adjusted for the final video.

"Blumenlied" rendition composed by Ege M. Erdogan

I know this sounds messed up but I absolutely can't wait for a new and detailed sinking. You guys are amazing with all that you do

The legend of Titanic will never die or fade there is still so much to discover about the ship as she lays at the bottom of the ocean.

That's one of the coolest shots and sound design ive ever seen or heard. Let's hope the final game will have furniture sliding around and the ship breaking in half. As much as I love this new version of the game if all it's going to be is a walking museum with no sinking or ship breaking in half I will be very disappointed after following it from the beginning of its birth, But other than that well done all the team.

I wonder if there were any passengers in the Cafe Perisen at the time of the iceberg collision. Of course it showed Molly Brown in the First Class lounge asking for ice from the staff as the iceberg was passing by in the background in the James Cameron film. VERY AMUSING

Not sure if you take requests, but I do have one. Could you please keep a clock going in a corner? That way, we don’t need to wait for a historical pop-up to know what time it is.

No matter how many times I watch a realtime sinking stream there is a part of me that hopes that the ship will not sink.

RIP to the 1496 lost on April 15th 1912

I’m so excited for this!

Do you think it would be helpful to set an alarm for major events during the sinking? It’s easy to have conversations without realizing that key events have passed. So excited to see this again!
