No, there are certain things that are straight judgments for the Nations and no amount of praying will stop it. In the book of Acts when a famine was coming on the land agabus stood up and he declared it and told the children of God and they prepared provisions and sent them to Judea.

Acts 11:28 ►

28One of them named Agabus stood up and began to indicate by the Spirit that there would certainly be a great famine all over the world. And this took place in the reign of Claudius. 29And in the proportion that any of the disciples had means, each of them determined to send a contribution for the relief of the brethren living in Judea. 30And this they did, sending it in charge of Barnabas and Saul to the elders.

I get it that we have authority but there are some things that are straight judgments on certain Nations by the lord. There was a famine during the days of abraham, jacob, isaac, joseph, even in the book of Acts and throughout centuries. Why didn't the believers during that time stand up and pray against it? There are certain things that we have to ask the Lord about because we think we can change everything, how will the Nations know that there is a God in heaven. When the Lord exacted these judgments on the nation he would always end and say, "then they will know that I am God"

There are certain things that are beyond praying about it not happening. Abraham could not pray a way to destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah he just had to pray and reason with the Lord about not destroying it if there were set amount of righteous people found in their which it was not so lot had to leave sodom. I'm sorry but I don't agree with this, there are certain dimensions that we don't interrupt when the Lord has made his mind up about it. The believers in the book of Acts recognize what was being spoken about and they took action by preparing. The Lord has been speaking about this for years now in the mouth of many of his children. Stop thinking that we can bend twist and manipulate the Lord concerning what he chooses to do that is best concerning his chastisement to the Nations.

Why would you stand in God's way to stop what He intends to do to the ungodly. God is holy and judgement must be meted out. Joseph thrived in famine and elijah was fed by God through raven. "only with your eyes shall you see the reward of the wicked. But it shall not come nigh unto you." No one can stop the trumpet and bowl punishment in the book of revelations. God gives dreams of fear and panic but it is only bound for the unrighteous
