Finally an actual video with symptoms of power steer message but it’s actually working followed by TCM communication loss…

Got an estimate to fix the problems from a garage and it was $1, 100.

Spent less than $6 at Lowe's and used about 70 cents worth of the materials to do this hack, which worked perfectly btw. Thanks!

So here is the outcome, I didn’t ever make it as far as hooking up a wire, I went through my fuses under the hood one last time to make sure they were all snug down, well I came across a pink 30 and a green 40 looked like they were In snuggly well to my surprise I pressed down on them and they WERENT fully snug down all they way. So I test drove it and to my SUPRISE I guess that’s what my problem was cause it’s running like a champ now. The fuses were BCM3 and BCM2 so I’m thinking maybe over time they just wiggled out Idk. But thanks for the video cause it definitely was what was next for me. Thanks

AWESOME!!!! My GF's car was not shifting, power steering light on and speedometer not working.... I originally searched to figure out what it was going to cost to fix the shifting problem and saw this video. I have to admit I was skeptical at first but I grabbed a nut, bolt, wire, a screwdriver and a couple sockets and to my surprise THIS

For those who come to this video to try and fix this problem, the culprit is a bad ground on the front of the transmission.

Open your hood and while standing in front of the engine bay, reach for the front of the transmission center right. There is a bolt with multiple ring terminals and more than likely they have corroded. Cut them off, clean everything as best you can and crimp or weld new terminals and hit it with either white or dielectric grease.

Its the proper way to fix this problem.

Dude you just saved my ass!! My car has been sitting outside for two weeks and everyone had been dumbfounded on what to do with it. Even the Chevy dealership. I followed your video and followed your instructions and boom. My beast is back on the road hauling ass. I love it!!!! Appreciate you much

this video is awesome I had an issue to where the ECU was reset and put my car into anti-theft mode the dash kept saying power steering and low fuel even though it has plenty and it was acting all weird and not communicating with the BCM or the TCMso I did exactly what this guy said and after 3 days of major headaches and pulling fuses problem solved thanks a million for this video man it saved me from having the car towed back to the dealership

Atleast we know what the issue is and was and what we need to do going forward. I'm so so grateful for your help and video.

I was skeptical so I waited a week to comment but my god it worked! Air conditioner does not leak, battery has not died, power steering and all dash gauges work, and it cut out the interference sound and popping sound in my radio. Has mileage went from average 33 mpg to hitting a high over the weekend driving up north to 39.2 and averaging 37 even in town. Crazy. Thank you very much for this video.

Tried this fix and it worked for about a week, then I started having the same problems again (gauges going haywire, 'power steering' 'low fuel' warnings, etc.). So yesterday I changed the TCM fuse and so far the car is back to normal. Fingers crossed!

Now I as well as all of you, should be contacting and filing a complaint for the wiring harness as a recall to the department of transportation! Just filed mine today! I am also going to call chevy directly now. But they wont listen unless we all file complaints with the department of transportation.

Awesome video brother. I had the gas going up and down, the rpm as well, the lights flashing, transmission jumping, turning off. Was told new computer needed $200 plus labor! Did what you said and problem solved! You are the man!

My mom's car is having these exact issues and a shop she went to said it needs a new transmission. Never did the mechanic address power steering issue. If this works you have saved me time and a lot of chasing. I will definitely be back to give my update
