The pre-made pudding might have ruined it since it already have vanilla flavour (and probably artificial flavouring as well), so it might just have made a bit of a weird combo. Maybe mixing it with some whipped cream would do the trick yeah instead

I have a recipe around here somewhere for a pumpkin dip that was pumpkin puree, whipped cream (like he suggested), and Nutella. Serve with graham crackers.

It was a great dessert dip. Mousse-like, but a little thicker. And absolutely ZERO bananas.

I feel like banana and pumpkin is weird but whipped cream with some pumpkin, spices, and jello vanilla pudding mix would probably be good! (I do whipped cream with the pudding mix as a stabilizer as a cake filling and it’s so darn good!!!)

I understand what they were trying to do with the banana and vanilla, add more neutral flavours to mellow out the pumpkin/make the pumpkin less overwhelming. The problems come from banana and premade pudding. I'd probably skip the banana, but fold in vanilla extract with some kind of cream to mellow it instead
