Agreed, the Google project management certificate is great in terms of actually teaching project management skills. That said, no company will hire an inexperienced project manager. There are thousands of PMPs in the market that have a much higher likelihood to be successful depending on their experience. So the Google cert on its own will not get you a job as a full time project manager without experience.

PMI's CAPM + Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and relevant education can't really be beat unless the company is transitioning a mid level subject matter expert (in a software engineer, bioengineer, etc.) into a technical project manager role. I encourage people open to looking to move to look at EPIC in WI, they have an early career fresh out of college program for technical project managers. I couldn't take it since relocation conflicts, but it would be a great career move for your first 3-6 years out of college.
