Theranos Trial: Holmes Found Guilty of 4 Counts

The Theranos fraud trial continues Monday as jury deliberates on the charges Elizabeth Holmes faces. She’s been found guilty on some of the charges but more decisions have yet to be made. Scott Budman reports from San Jose and NBC Bay Area legal analyst Paula Canny explains.

I can’t believe they didn’t get her on endangering patients lives. she definitely did that ….they were cancer tests and blood tests, all of which were vital to patient’s recovery and treatment. she gets away on that count? But the investors get justice? What about the patients she harmed?

I encourage everyone to hold off on the exultation a bit here, there still is sentencing, and that could result in NO prison time at all. I doubt that, but stranger things have happened. She should get 20 years, if not the message is clear, "defraud, have a baby, and walk scott free. This woman is a complete sociopath, by any means necessary, hope the judge sees through her.

Guilty on some counts against some wealthy investors, and not patients. Her lawyers will appeal and it’ll take a year before the judge hands down the # of years. She’ll eventually get out somehow lol after maybe serving a year.

Wait, wait... at the 3:25 mark, your take away is: someone was caught lying to investors and this is going to negatively impact companies attempting to raise capital because now they're going to have to think twice before making exaggerated claims? Is the that the most ass backwards way of viewing the situation or am I missing something? Wouldn't it make more sense to claim that now investors will be more willing to spend because they can be more confident they're getting the truth? How could you possibly insinuate this verdict wasn't anything but good for everyone involved except deceitful people.
