Recruiting a former rally driver and giving him a Kei car was a big brain move by Nobuhiko, who observed Takumi in their first battle.

1. A rally driver like Sakamoto is used to tight tracks and harsh conditions, since they can race in all sorts of terrains.
2. Takumi always took advantage of the AE86's light weight to outcorner opponents in more powerful cars. Against Sakamoto, who drove a slower but lighter Suzuki Cappuccino, the roles were reversed.

Ryosuke was right when he told Takumi to think about Sudo's technique in this race but what Takumi wasn't thinking about was the end part of his rematch where all Sudo had to do was get his nose ahead of the 86, however instinctively Takumi did that without even realizing with the Blind Attack on the final straight

Its a tough race bcz Sakamoto is playing on defender role here...Saka knows that kei car goes from 0-100 in 3 to 5 business days and aint no way that thing could fight even old civic
