the SECRET is to bounce to the side with a slight tug on your throw hand, NOT up and down. It's a subtle movement that Joe doesn't specify. But that's the secret to getting consistent hops. In summary, pull your throwhand slightly to the right.

Yo!!!! Not sure if you read my comment or not but learned this one too!! The throwhand/non throw hand helps a ton as lefty cause i usually run the video on a loop and listen while i practice. And sometimes i would hear "throw it over the left" when for me it would be right and get confused. So super awesome!

your tutorials and YoYoTricks tutorials are the two best sources in my opinion. I go through pretty much every video I can find on a specific trick when I'm trying to learn it just because there's always something that someone might say that you might not have said or yo-yo trick might not have said that might help me land the trick, but all in all I'd say two are the best two sources.

Tried this trick a year ago when I first started and just couldn't understand it, I'm a lefty and I think that was a big portion why. Tonight after a year and a half of yoyoing I slayed it, it's so flashy, keep at it Joe.
