This is terrible, we need stricter laws to protect these beautiful animals

This is an disgusting and heartbreaking. This person needs a long prison sentence. I don't know how anyone could be that cruel to a helpless animal. It's pure evil.

If this woman was sick, as one of the news stations implied, why didn’t she ask for help from the APL in Portage county or ask other shelters to help her out. This is deplorable. Just thinking of the canines immense suffering breaks my heart. She needs to be held accountable and responsible for this. This is unjustifiable.

I'm sorry but the neighbors had to have known. Having that many animals out there, i can't imagine the smell. Those poor dogs.

So sad. That lady is right about that there should nbe inspections to all people that have a dog rescue. They have to have permits for that. So they know names and addresses.

That's sad for animals & this lady. What happened to the owner who was taken away in an ambulance? How many animals did this lady help over the years? Was she an old lady & sick? There is a lot left out of this news report.

Every day I see the proof that our most valuable of human traits, compassion and empathy, vital components that define us as human, are slipping away. Bleeding out. Every dam day. When will it stop? Will it stop? I'm seventy years old, I'd like to see it stop before I die. Humanity needs us to hurry, this has broken my heart and soul as I look into the trusting eyes of my own beloved four legged friends. What would I tell them? What does this say about us whoman's? Because this wasn't a human act! The echo of those poor innocent dogs will haunt me, they are like children to us, we'd sacrifice our own safety to protect them, like we do our human children! We don't do this evil to those we treasure and see as a gift! Thumbs don't mean shit without compassion, controlling them from being stuck into whoever's eye is in the way! And the only thing we've come up with to glorify those thumbs? Social media. And we think animal's aren't intelligent. Wow.

I suspect she had a terrible mental health problem that made her forget about the dogs. This is awful

Neighbors had to have smelled all of the dead bodies and heard barking constantly. People don't check on their neighbors anymore let alone talk to them . Sad situation

People get overwhelmed. Good intentions that got out of hand. These pups would have died without Rescue also. As sad as it is, it happens.

What volunteers ? Didnt any of these volunteers help to walk the dogs, or help feed the dogs or help care for the dogs ? How did no one know what was going on or what condition the dogs were living and dying in ? smdh
