I really like this webcam approach. It looks clean and you don't waste the space when you don't use the camera, you don't have to deal with a ridiculous notch and weird UI behavior around it like on MacBooks and from a privacy / paranoia angle, you have maximum control over when the camera can see and record you. I'm sure for now there are durability concerns with the mechanics of the camera slot on the laptop's base, but more manufacturers should move in this direction and work out any kinks there might be for now.

I really, really hope this catches on. On a personal laptop, I do not need a webcam and at the moment they seem to be the biggest area of compromise. MacBook notch, larger top lip on windows etc.. This is a fantastic idea!

so its worth mentioning that with the exception of the detachable webcam, that is the same form factor as the Galaxy book 5, the screen of which can fold all the way around so you can use it as a tablet

3:45 I love that all screen concept and the absent of a camera doesn't change anything because the camera can be magnetically attached whenever you want it to be. Most people won't be using the camera often or even at all especially someone like me, unless you have to do video call or something similar. Plus you get the added benefits to rotate the magnetic camera in the reverse direction to take a photo or something. 5:25 The quick connect without delay is a prove of great innovation design. 5:58 biometric security should be the standard on all laptops and PC such as FaceID and fingerprint scanner. This is a great design concept, in which I'll be happy to own on my laptop or PC. Facial scanning should be added too for stronger security.

NOW they need to offer an upgraded more expensive cam you can buy... so the one it comes with is decent like 720p but offer a 4k option for like $150-200 that stores in same spot that would be nice

honestly mate. i love the design. this is almost perfect for a gift! almost, as i bet i know a lot of people who tend to misplace things and that tiny lil camera might be lost, but other than that. love it.
