✅ Remember, we end up with a 1 after canceling everything out because something divided by itself equals 1. For example, in number 1, the x's in the denominator cancel out to equal 1 because x divided by x equals 1. Technically, we have 1x1x1 as the denominator because there were three x's that canceled out, but 1x1x1=1, so we can just write 1. On the other hand, in the numerator, we have three x's that canceled out as well. That technically gives us 1x1x1 too. 1x1x1=1 and 1 times the two x's just gives us those two x's. Those two x's give us x squared.
