Not at all 9.7 lakh. This will launch in India (if there is any chance) at a price range of atleast 16 lakh. That's a huge SUV with some great features. No way this is 9.8 lakhs.

Toyota doesn't take the Indian market seriously. Nobody makes a fool of the Indian customers as much as Toyota does, then probably Honda will come. The Japanese giants are just taking the Indian automotive market for a ride. They are offering almost nothing to us here in India compared to other places. I don't know why, and whom to blame, is it the manufacturer or the government for their aggressive tax regime, which discourages the OEMs to produce good cars. Or is it the customers who are stupid enough to buy an overpriced and an overrated car like Fortuner in a crazy manner. I think we should stop hyping Toyota in India a little bit especially the Fortuner. Then I think it will send a message to the OEM.

This is an old model which was already released in Indonesia. This is the higher end version of Toyota Avanza.

I also agree that Toyota never introduce good models in India. They have excellent range. We can see that range in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

This car is around 16 lacs INR for base model in UAE.. no way they will sell it at 10 lacs inr in India.. if they launch it, it will be between 20 to 25 lacs INR..

I don't think this car will be launched in India.. But I do have a feeling that Maruti Suzuki XL6 will be rebadged as Veloz/Qualis. Pricing will be between 17-21 lacs ex-showroom. Variant will include the hybrid version too.
