Cool video, I like gimbals and sliders. You can go overboard with both if you're not careful, but I think you're right...Sliders give you more of a fluid and cinematic feel, and it's easier to achieve with a slider. I think some people, myself included suffer from "Gimbalitis"

I have the OSMO+ and thinking of selling it to get a gimbal for my A6500.

Have you tried using a quick release plate for your gimbal so you don't have to rebalance?
