Pizza Tower OST - Thousand March, BUT With The Timer (and other effects)

War has changed. War never changes. War is the best level in Pizza Tower, change my mind.

I did all of this in audacity and recorded most of the sounds from the game directly. And I will say, the timer is synced to the beat of the music instead of to a real world second, since it would go out of sync eventually and I think it sounds a lot better like this.

"Who do you have in mind?"

"Well, there's this one guy. Peppino, ehm... Spaghetti??"

"That guy?? He weighs like a fucking pig-"

"But sir, he's *fast.* Faster than any of our other infantrymen, somehow."

"Hm. Well, alright. Let him know that this mission is of the utmost importance. Have Gustavo escort him to the area, he should know what he's doing."

"Disarm the bomb already... Clock's ticking! You've got this, fratellino. Come on, you've always had good aim, strong hands and quick feet. Is some beeping really all it takes to get you shaking? Che stupido... You've been through worse, quit being such a baby. Hey, y- What are you doing. What the- You can't be serious... Where are you going?! Hey! HEY, GET BACK HERE! YOU DAMN COWARD, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?! *GIUSEPPE, COME OVER HERE NOW!* GET BACK HERE, DISERTORE!"

_The air is burning hot, and the volume of the blast makes my head ring. I feel a chunk of my skin scraped away by the dirt as I roll down the hill. I keep rolling and rolling, unable to stop my descent, or call for help. Not that I even deserve it, given the stunt I just pulled. And eventually, I feel grass. The last untouched patch of greenery in a warzone. There's a small pond to my left, a little frog sits on my knuckles, watching me curiously. It's like a tiny cold compress for my aching hand._

_Everything hurts._

_My chest feels tight, like my very ribcage is trying to choke the smoke out of my lungs, and halt my desperately hammering heart. The air here is more breathable, but the cold breeze cuts into the streaks of tears on my face. What a disgrace. The explosions and yells of my Brothers in arms are far away, but alongside the desperate pounding in my chest and head, I can still hear the beeping. It has long stopped in reality. The deafening boom and the pieces of the man, whose last words were an accusation of me being a deserter, are confirmation of that. But I can still hear the beeping of the timer._

_A bird of metal and fire screeches through the crimson sky above. Then another, and another. The pillars of smoke and the lone pale yellow dot barely seen through the clouds feel so distant. I've got to get out of here. I want to live._

You have to wonder just how despicable and cruel Pizzaface is to make this level for Peppino just before fighting him. It's almost an act of despotic desperation to stop Peppino at all costs, even if making him relive the most darkest days of his life.

I like to think that the timer doesn't actually count the time untill the bomb explodes but instead counts the time untill the bombers arrive and drop their bombs, with the time boosts being navigation malfunctions caused by the destruction of computers

My algebra teacher in 10th and 11th grade was an Italian Air Force veteran named Mr. Morelli. He was very patriotic (he would cry if you played the Italian anthem) and VERY familiar with explosives (bom-bahs, he would call them through his accent). He was a larger than life man with a big smile and even bigger balls.

One day, my insensitive 10th grade ass decided to ask him what it was like when he would blow people up; what he saw, how he felt, etc. His eyes shrank, and I watched his face go back in time. He told me he didn’t like to talk about it and that was that. Through his eyes I saw everything I needed to know. I couldn’t stop thinking about him through this entire level.
