Qndo o Brasil possuía o Uruguai (a província Cisplatina), não possuíamos o Acre, a região da Cabeça do Cachorro no noroeste do Amazonas e ainda tínhamos questões de fronteira a resolver com Reino Unido e França sobre Roraima e Amapá... Portanto, todas essas áreas que ainda oficialmente não faziam parte do Brasil, somadas, são maiores que a área do atual Uruguai... Portanto, mesmo perdendo a Cisplatina, ganhamos mais área e, por isso, nossa máxima extensão territorial é hoje.

Admit it or not, Brazil is larger than every South American country, even at their greatest extent. The closest country to overtake Brazil was Peru

Ya got Brazil right, but for Chile, military occupation shouldn't count as their occupier's land, peacetime occupation zones are the exception, because those allow for actual government activity, even if it's military administration.
Also Suriname, the Brits didn't give Suriname any more land than it had while under dutch control, so another mistake.
Ecuador's max extent should be 1904 because they lost land in 1905, other than that, great job.
