Nice project lads. You should just make a small extension for the rear mount at the pin. Then if a long boy is driving the extension would lift the rear of the shell up a couple of inches.

Impressive thermalforming of the plastic sheeting, that was a very practical method to get panels to fit in real time rather than if to make a vacuum mold that would take alot of real time for a singular vehicle project instead of a fleet or a plethora, or even a surplus.
Kevin, don't let them try to shink you to fit into the vehicle, it will take 70 or so years due to gravity.
