A good rule of thumb for Etsy on how many of an item has been sold is to take how many reviews that specific item has, and multiply it by 10. If there are 50 review on a specific item, you can count on them having likely sold 500 of those items. This based on the statistic that 1/10 people leave a review, which is pretty solid across the board.

For your question: Side grain sticking out on bottom. But make it stick out about 3/8 or 1/2 inch from the sides (and maybe the front) and pop a round over on it. That'll take it from ugly side grain to a design element. Then do the same on the top.

Also, try milk paint. It should give you less hassle with the sanding/distressing.

Dude, I love your channel. It's cool to see someone else have as much fun wood-work'n, figure'n stuff out as you go, cause you're not use'n actual plans, you're go'n by a picture earlier that morn'n, or even a couple days ago. You don't wanna make it exactly like the one you seen on Facebook, or wherever.
For one, you should expect to build a new project 2 or 5 times b4 you get what you was really aim'n to produce;
A marketable product.
Just like it takes more effort to type in hillbilly than regular English.
By the way, your music brought tears to me eyes.
My sons were telling me about free music that you can source and freely use for your building back ground music if you want.
Of course, they didn't drag me to it, make me open it up, play around with it, find some I like, and save them for later, no... they just insisted, all I had to do was go download it😢.
