Wingnut. I'm a 61 yo almost retired woman who has been knocking things together all my life. I found your channel last year and am having fun with the smalls.

Wingnut. I understand that you spend many hours each week to put together each video with the main purpose of helping others... mostly strangers. I just wanted to say thank you. Also, please keep them coming. You are sincerely appreciated.

Wingnut, i am a 64 year old woman that is just learning to create with wood. I am making old-school window screen frames for my 124 year old house. I want to thank you for sharing your knowledge. Watching your videos is what gave me the courage to try.

Make one of the plant swings a touch wide and sell it as a window herb garden. Fun tag lines “Thyme to hang out. Just dilling around, I’m parsley to relaxing, a wise sage knows to be calm.”

Hallelujah The daily jesus devotional has been a huge part of my transformation, God is good 🙌🏻🙌🏻. I was owing a loan of $49, 000 to the bank for my son's brain surgery, Now I'm no longer in debt after I invested $11, 000 and got my payout of $290, 500 every month…God bless Mrs Susan Jane Christy ❤️

Wingnut. I'm a 63 yo female, retired last year. I've always been a crafter, but I started watching videos like yours and those that rip apart pallets and make amazing things and I would love to have a workshop. We went to an auction a few weeks ago and I got a working craftsman table saw for $20! I already have a mitre saw I bought a few years ago to update my kitchen cabinets and for Christmas my husband bought me a small circular saw because I complained that his was too heavy for me. We picked up some free pallets recently and they certainly don't come apart as easily as in the videos! Some we had to cut nails, some we had to cut the slats, and yesterday we had one that I knew if we tried to take anything off it we were going to split the wood for sure. So I took my circular saw and cut the whole thing in half. It is now the cutest sides to my new strawberry bed, looks like a picket fence! I love watching your videos, and I may start to make things to try and sell, but first I have to make everything I want!

Wingnut - For a live edge hanging shelf I took a live edge board, cut it into three different lengths (about 9", 11" & 13") and drilled a hole in the back of each dead center. Then I put a Hillman 3 prong nut in the hole and screwed in a hanger bolt (bolt on one end and lag bolt on the other). Simply drill a hole in the wall where the stud is and "screw" the shelf into the wall until flush. I wrapped them together with twine to sell as a set with a typed note card with the instructions (hole size to drill is important). Scrap turned shelves. (You know how to tell who's a woodworking dad. Lots of keys, probably on a carabiner, and can't stop making shelves.) Thanks for all the great vids. Keep going all you sawdust addicts. Vitamin W is good for the body.

Matt, I loved what you were saying at the beginning of the video. We always taught our daughter, that there is no such thing as can't. In fact I have a card on my fridge that reads, "the only thing you can't do, is the thing you haven't tried". And, yes I read that often, because I go to the fridge more than I should. My wife liked the plant swing, not to hot on the clothes rack. May try a couple anyway.

Wingnut, I am 73 and still making smalls from reclaimed pallets. Since I work in a plant maintenance dept. my supply of wood is endless. Was overwhelmed with request for squirrel feeders and childrens picnic tables. Doing those projects did a great deal in boosting my sense of worth and actually kicked the "old man" from my life. thank you

Mini pallets idea for marketing, show a bunch of them around a large pallet. “My pallet got out a few months ago now I have a littler of pallet pups. Will let go to a good home.”

Wing nut. Thank you for your inspiration. I have been struggling for a month now on working in my shop. The 3d chess board I made for a dear friends children passed away a day later. I just really couldn't bring myself to do anything. Everything I touched was not working. So I have really been trying to back in the swing of things. I hear her say you got this. And with your message today has really helped. I am so grateful that I found your videos when I first started this journey. I am truly grateful for you also. Always giving everyone support. Thank you Matthew

Wingnut. As many others have said, your inspirational messages are as or more important than your projects. Younger generations more than ever need that encouragement. I did the same with my kids and grandkids. I'm old and technically retired but anyone in my situation will tell you that "retired" just means that you're busier than before, hopefully doing what makes you happy. I have a CNC machine and many of your projects can be knocked out super fast and easily repeated. Doing what makes me happy!

Wingnut. Hi Matt, Im a 41/f and I do my best to tey to get out into my little shop and make things when I can. I started woodworking several years ago and fell in love with just making things for family and my wife for around the house. I love your channel and the idea of smalls that sell. I hope to move to the selling arena in the next couple years after life slows down a bit. I love the positivity. The world needs more of it! Thank you! 😊

Wingnut taught me to see how things are assembled and break it down to smaller steps. Works great even when not woodworking.

What Matt said in the beginning is so true! 11 years ago when I started building furniture I had the thought that I wanted to build custom furniture and cabinetry for the million dollar homes/customers. I was constantly told I couldn’t and shouldn’t even try. Even by loved ones. Well, nowadays my customer base is predominantly exactly what I wanted to do. Building custom woodworks for “the rich”. Had I given up or listened to the naysayers I would not be doing what I’m doing. As Matt says, you HAVE to believe in yourself!

Wingnut!!! Pushing out the negative is how I have to live right now and have been for awhile. I'm not the best at anything I make or fix for others, but I enjoy it all . I'm a scrapper of all sorts of things and get looked down on daily, never thought I'd be where I am at my age. But I do what I can.. Your words are an awesome reminder!! Thank you very much!!

Matt I love what you said about makers (blind makers, makers missing a arm, etc) I'm a maker that's disabled ( in a wheelchair) all my tools, tablesaw, scrollsaw and other tools are lower for me to work with even my bench, I go to craft shows and people are so amazed that I do woodworking I DO NOT let my disability get in my way I AM NOT disadvantages I am capable
Thanks Matt

My wife thought I was a wingnut when I went on a four hour round trip to pick up a bunch of 12 inch wide 90 year old pine boards from a property some 5 miles away from where she grew up - without any idea of what I might do with it. I now have an idea. Thanks! 👊
