Hi anna, it was amazing ...super.. The reason for taking cos θ is, the two vectors of E and A are written in Dot product inside the intergral . therefore Vector (E.A)= EA cosθ. As electric flux is a scalar quantity .
Dot product :2 vectors give scalar quantity after ther operation.

Dot product of two vector quantities is always scalar quantity and expresses itself with cosine. You should not multiply cos with a dot product since cos is already with it.
