We get cat litter in buckets with a hinged lid. When empty we cut the lid at the hinge. Free nesting box.

Dollar tree bins. The rectangle ones are a perfect size and you can wash them out

Awe I have a frizzle hen that looks just like your mamma hen and also great idea with the best boxes for silkies all of mine hate flying up and some can't even see above them. If it weren't for the ramp leading up to the coop portion and meat boxes they would lay ok the floor when they will. That won't be for a couple more months though if not more. 😊
