Garden Orb Web Spider Catches and Kills Flies in Her Web

Tristan and Jeandre (on camera) encountered this beautiful garden orb spider (different to the golden orb spider) keeping vigil in her spectacular, sprawling web for unsuspecting prey this morning. Her wait paid off as two flies got stuck in the sticky netting, and soon became her large breakfast.

Drop jaw amazing. If you came a cross a creature like this for the very first time, you wouldn't expect them to be able to do the breathtaking things they do. No wonder Spiders make their way into so many myths and stories across the world. Even into calling our internet "the World Wide Web" 💚🕸🐾

Yesterday I've fed my spider on balcony a huge fly and today his web is not there anymore. Must've been taken away by the wind. I'm heartbroken, but at least he's not gonna be hungry.
