I know it’s fake but seriously this is the best case scenario for any child. She did not panic even though a dead body is right next to her and her parents are unable to save her right away. She is smart enough to not touch the water, even though no adult yet has instructed her not to. And when she reaches the edge of the pool she let the adults pull her out instead of her trying to get up herself which easily could have ended in her losing her balance, or her weight on the edge causing water to spill over onto her foot

Electrician, here. and surprisingly this is one of those scenes from these TV shows that actually was pretty accurate, even though most might think the pool is grounded. the water has resistance depending on the mineral content and ph balance it can actually have Strong enough ambient electric fields to harm

The dead guy in the pool cant be saved lol. Theres nothing they can do for him while the power lines are still active. The little girl is still alive and can be saved. Shes the 1st priority and then then find a way to shut off the power and then to retrieve the dead guy in the pool. They attempt to pull the dead guy out first and the little girl falls in and thats 2 dead bodies.

I had a call similar to this one.

There was an electrical storm going on and a mother let her kid go swimming. We think lightning struck the water, which fried the kid.

So here we are, trying to fish the body out of the pool without getting ourselves fried as well.

Mother Nature decided the electrical storm isn’t enough. First the wind kicks up. These gusts are powerful. I nearly ended up in the pool due to the wind.

Mother Nature decided to up the ante with hail, and no, not tiny hail ether. This was hail roughly the size of golf balls. It came down hard.

Yes, some not nice words were tossed about. We did get the kid out, but sadly, they were beyond saving.

Several of us required medical attention at the hospital after that call. It was mainly bruises, cuts, and a fractured toe.

The fractured toe was mine. Slipped getting into my ambulance, and jammed my middle toe right into the edge of the door. There’s not much that can be done for a broken toe other than splinting it using the toe next to it. Depending on the severity of the break, surgery may be done to pin the fracture together. I didn’t need surgery, thankfully.

The idiots who are more concerned about the dead guy than the little girl being saved should get their priorities straight. The little girl is alive and can be saved the guy is dead. By the way, this can happen in real life too, and the first thing to do is save the living and then get the dead out.
