Firefighters Rescue Bride & Groom Trapped Inside Elevator

North Carolina newlyweds Victoria Jha and Panav Jha went through their wedding ceremony and reception in Charlotte without a hitch. However, on the way to their after-party on the 16th floor of the hotel, the elevator came to an abrupt halt. More than a dozen firefighters showed up but the rescue was not an easy feat. Using ropes and ladders, it took firefighters three hours to get everyone out.

I'll bet that most guests thought "oh.. they probably went to their room early to get some sleep? yeah, right" 🤭 A long time ago, I got married in Maui. After the wedding, we never left the hotel room for 4 days. Only opened the door for room service and housekeeping when it was absolutely necessary. :(
