Charlotte Kirk on The Reckoning, Clearing her Name & Telling her Story

Charlotte Kirk is interviewed by Stefan Pape for Neil Marshall's new film The Reckoning. Kirk stars with Sean Pertwee, Steven Waddington, Joe Anderson, Callum Goulden, Sarah Lambie, Leon Ockenden, Emma Campbell Jones and Suzanne Magowan. The film was also co-written by Kirk and Marshall also with Edward Evers-Swindell, who wrote the original story Red Hex with Antony Jones.

Plot: Evelyn, a young widow haunted by the recent suicide of her husband Joseph, is falsely accused of being a witch by her Landlord after she rejects his advances.

I thought the film was well done. It’s the best kind of human horror story. Where the horror is what we are capable of doing to each other. And Charlotte is tremendously talented as a writer, producer and actress. The irony of her story, is how relevant it is. Men still trying to leverage, abuse, and manipulate women. All it takes for evil to triumph, is for good men to do nothing.
