Part 20 | Closing arguments conclude, jury deliberations begin in Curtis Reeves trial

Closing arguments concluded Friday in the ongoing trial of movie theater shooter Curtis Reeves. The jurors in this case have spent nine days listening to experts and witnesses who were inside the movie theater at the time of the shooting.

If you have ever fired a handgun and then accidentally touched your eyes prior to washing your hands, you know that your eyes will instantly become irritated and red. Reeves has been around firearms his whole life. He would absolutely know this is true. I think when he realized how badly he had messed up, he immediately started rubbing his eyes with his right hand, which is the hand that fired the pistol. He wanted to make it look like he had suffered an injury.

You know if the jury chooses to believe those 3 witnesses who said that Reeves said "Throw Pop Corn in my face!", Reeves is toast. Escobar knows this! That alone destroy the self-defense case. There is really no reasonable belief not to believe those 3 witnesses.

The whole age thing is a close call. Elderly is 65 years or older. Reeves was 71. 6 Years. I could get more into age thing if he was older like 85 or 90 but 71 is only 6 years from 65. It's a close call. I just didn't see the age decline in this case. The prosecutor is right. The age of 71 was just that, an age. It really wasn't a huge factor given all the skill, agility and abilities Curtis Reeves was able to do at that time.

At the end of the day, You have young guy dead in a movie theater that was shot by Curtis Reeves and Curtis Reeves has absolutely nothing to show for it.

Am I the only one thinking that something is off with the judge? At times she sounds like she's sleeping, other times she's moving in her seat restlessly, and overall she's looking very spent, like her nights are super rough.
But mostly its her face.. that is not the face of a joint, lol.

The jury is white with one Latino AND in FLORIDA. I fear that this young mother, her child, and all of Chad's relatives and friends will receive no justice whatsoever. I truly hope I am wrong. It's fairly easy to feel for Curtis, he looks and speaks like the quintessential Grandpa. I wish that Chad's daughter would have been allowed in court, but she is not of age. Shame.
