When I solved my square one for the first time, I was so certain that reforming it back into a cube was the right first step. I did and got a parity, and spent hours trying to swap those two pieces... but everyone says to make it into a cube first... It's just so much easier for my mind to turn it into a scrambled bandaged 2x2x3 cuboid first.

Tbh, square 1 was my favourite puzzle, even better rhan 3x3 cube. Square 1 is very fun to solve, algorithms look very confusing at first, but after this they become very satisfying to do.
