Albert Swanson, who in 1925 invented this wonderful device !!! I still have my very fist speed square, given to me as part of my fitst carpentry kit, its 17 years old and still going !! I tend to keep and use it in and around the house these days though. Every tool box should have one. Thanks for the Very helpful vid !!

All right, that’s pretty cool. I’ve only had a speed square for 30 years. I didn’t know if some of those features smarty-pants I love it thank you. And he says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. Nice. Hope you’re still using it. I’m 69 and still using mine

The 30, 60 triangle and the 45 degree draftsman triangle, all for in house school desk drawing have come a long way since 1965 vocational draftsman days. CADD came along for drafting and this tool is like cousin related. I'm coming upon 73 years now. God bless one and all!
