Next Level Racing F-GT Cockpit Review

Here is my review of the Next Level Racing F-GT Cockpit! This is a rather unique hybrid Sim Racing cockpit, which allows you to convert from a Formula style seating position to a GT-style seating position. While a lot of F1-style Sim cockpits retail for over $1,000 USD, this rig is competing in the mid-range market, retailing for $499. How does the successor to the Next Level Racing F1GT Cockpit stack up? Let's find out!

I keep running into videos he made and gotta say he was one of the best out there had he not passed away he could easily have been the biggest Sim guy on Youtube. RIP buddy.

r.i.p William Marsh 😥 I discovered this channel for his excellent review of this rig. Such a nice warm voice. Cannot believe he's gone. 💔 I hope you've finally found your peace.

Having watched your review I am going to spend £299.99 on this rig as it's Black Friday. Thank you!

Great review. I own this cockpit, and personally have a slight difference of opinion when it comes to ergonomics and comfort. Looking at the seat in pictures and even in person it does not look as comfortable as it actually is. However, IMO, it is one of the best things about this cockpit. I find it comfortable and very supportive. I am 5'11" and 180 lbs, and was able to find a perfect seating position for my liking. (BTW..only race in GT). The shifter mount was also perfect for me, but I can see with the lack of up and down that some may not get it exactly to their liking. I also have the pedals in lower GT position connected to the front plate, and find that when in that position they have more flex than what I would like. The thing about cockpits, is they always fit each person a little differently. I would like to add that I have contacted NLR about the flex in the pedal plate, and they are very responsive.

The F-GT does have keyboard mount posibilities, but you'll need to buy it extra its not included with the seat, but than again a lot of cockpits dont come with included keyboard trays/ mounts

Got this rig and I can tell if you are above 6 ft 3 or above 200 lbs this is not your rig. The review is professional but this guy seems to a bit heavier than 200 lbs (true?) and shows that you are cramped into this rig. I am the "skinny" guy (5 ft 10 / 1.81cm 165 lbs / 75kg's - the perfect F1 racer :-) and this fits like a glove. Also tested the playseat Revolution and this like sitting high up compared to this F1 setting.

Does this fold up for easy storage? It says that on their website. Also, is it adjustable enough that a kid could reach the pedals?

I have the F1 GT rig and I purchased next level’s keyboard tray and mounted it to the left body rail. It works fine.
